Service

Gwynedd Veterinary Hospital is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year to provide you and your pet with personal service. An experienced Emergency Veterinarian and trained technician are on site at all times. We have a full service trama unit, ICU and 24 hour access to the ASPCA Poison Control Center. At our new 9000 sq foot facility, we offer on-site capabilities such as oxygen support, complete in-house blood testing, x-rays, around the clock care of the critically ill patient, iv fluid therapy and emergency surgery.

At Gwynedd Veterinary Hospital, we act as an emergency service for your veterinarian when he or she is not available. We consider your veterinarian to be you pet's primary health care provider and we value your relationship with them. If you have an emergency, please call your veterinarian first to be sure that they are not available.

As communication is extremely important to us, we will always notify your veterinarian after seeing your pet. They will receive a full copy of the record and any blood work and x-rays for their records so they can continue any follow-up care. If your pet is hospitalized, your veterinarian will be contacted personally the following morning to exchange critical information and make arrangements for the transfer of your pet back to them . We are also prepared to keep your pet for continued care if your veterinarian requests.

Our emergency and day-time doctors fully review the details of emergency cases during rounds each morning. This ensures continuity of care and a smooth transition of the case back to your veterinarian if need be. In addition, your veterinarian will be able to confer with our doctors at any time to address concerns or questions they may have regarding your pet's condition.
