Dr. Elizabeth Knighton
Dr. Elizabeth Knighton received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Harvard University. She then worked for a year as a volunteer teacher for elementary school students in Massachusetts. She went on to obtain her veterinary degree from the Univerisity of Pennsylvania. She then worked at a feline practice in Philadelphia before coming to Gwynedd Veterinary Hospital. On her days off, Dr. Knighton enjoys taking ballet classes and playing with her two cats, including her cat Scribbles, in whom Dr. Knighton has described a previously unrecognized genetic disorder that makes him part-male and part-female. Dr. Knighton's article describing this disorder was recently published in the July 15th edition of the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
